This wellness-inspired charter invites you to slow down and reconnect with the ocean through photography, mindfulness, and purposeful diving and snorkeling. Serenity Sunday combines immersive marine encounters with a calming, intentional pace, perfect for certified divers and curious snorkelers alike.

Each tour includes Hawaiian-inspired breathing techniques and gentle mindfulness prompts to enhance your connection to the water. Certified divers will enjoy relaxed profiles, smaller group sizes of no more than 4 and at least 1/2 capacity on boat.

This exclusive experience runs every Sunday from 7:30AM to 2:00PM and includes thoughtful touches like coconut water, locally made aloha energy bars, and mindful tip cards designed to start your week with intention and beauty.

Safety Requirements

Check-In: Meet at Kohala Divers’ shop in Kawaihae Harbor for check-in, introductions, and gear prep. Set your intention for the day with a short breathing practice.
Departure: Board our spacious boat and take in the scenic Kohala Coast as we head to the first of two hand-picked dive/snorkel sites, chosen for calm, clear conditions and optimal photography.
First Dive or Snorkel Session:
Certified divers enjoy an extended, slow-paced dive with optional photography support and mindfulness prompts.
Snorkelers are guided through introductory breathwork and skin diving techniques before a relaxed float session.
Surface Interval: Enjoy fresh coconut water, locally made aloha energy bars, and mindfulness tip cards during a peaceful surface interval with ocean views.
Second Dive or Snorkel Session: Return to the water for another immersive dive or snorkel experience, focused on observation, breath, and connection with the underwater world.
Return to Harbor: Reflect on your day with the ocean breeze in your hair as we cruise back to Kawaihae, feeling refreshed, inspired, and deeply connected.

Multi-day Packages

We have around 16 dive sites that we visit regularly… Most of our divers do join us multiple days and come back for years to come. We love repeat divers and offer a 10% discount on all future dives after you have dove 3 trips with us.

Family Packages

We welcome families with children ages 6+ to enjoy this tour. Here are some popular family package options:

Hire a private guide: One-on-one snorkeling supervision for children 8-10 years old while parents dive.
Share dive/snorkel spots: One diver and two snorkelers can share a 2-tank trip by alternating between diving and snorkeling. Example: Family of 3 – 1 diver, 2 snorkelers, 2 sets of dive gear.
Discover Scuba family option: One Discover Scuba student can share the experience with snorkelers.Example: Family of 3 (1 Discover Scuba student + 2 snorkelers).

Our dive sites typically range from 30 to 80 feet, offering multilevel dive profiles and a relaxed pace to fully explore the terrain.

Certified Diver Requirements:

Certified divers must bring their certification card. Divers without a card will need to enroll in a discover scuba course or join as a snorkeler.
We strongly encourage divers who have not dived in over a year to complete a refresher course before their trip.
Special pricing applies for junior divers (ages 10-11) and those with restricted depth limits.

Safety Requirements:

Have been diving in the past 5 years or completed a refresher course (recommended every 2 years). You may be asked to show your logbook.
Be able to swim against a mild to moderate current in open water.
Maintain buoyancy independently, including a three-minute stop.
Be comfortable diving in a group of up to 6 divers.

Important: If you do not meet these requirements, you may be required to hire a private guide or complete a refresher course. Your safety and the safety of our crew is our top priority.

What makes this tour different from your other trips?
Serenity Sunday is a slower-paced, wellness-inspired trip designed to foster mindfulness, photography, and underwater connection. Unlike standard tours, this one includes extended water time, breathwork techniques, and thoughtful touches like coconut water and local energy bars.
Do I need to be certified to join this tour?
Certified divers are required for scuba diving. Snorkelers of all levels are welcome.
What if I’ve never tried skin diving?
Perfect! You’ll receive a gentle introduction to freediving techniques.
Is this tour okay for beginners?
Yes—for snorkelers. Divers should be certified and comfortable in open water.
Are children allowed on the tour?
Children ages 6+ are welcome to snorkel, and young divers can participate through our family-friendly packages.
Is transportation included with the tour?
Yes! We offer complimentary shuttle service from most Kohala Coast and Waikoloa resorts. Simply let us know during booking if you’d like to arrange pickup. You can also meet us directly at our dive shop in Kawaihae if you prefer.
Do you offer discounts for frequent divers?
Yes! You'll qualify for our 'I Dive Kohala Club' and enjoy a 10% discount after completing three trips. Contact us for more details.
What is your reservation and cancellation policy?
To secure your spot, we require a credit card when booking your tour. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your scheduled charter will incur a full charge. For cancellations with at least 48-hour notice, no charges will apply. You can book online or by calling us at (808) 882-7774.
